Book Traveling Thursday’s: Food Week

untitled-1

Book Traveling Thursdays is a weekly feature meme hosted by Catia @The Girl Who Read Too Much and Danielle @Danielle’s Book Blog! The purpose is to find book covers from around the world and choose your favourites. The list of themes is on Goodreads!

This week is a book based on food!

Unsurprisingly, there were a lot of books I could have chosen for this. Food is so good it’s literally everywhere in my life. 😀 I chose to go with something slightly less conventional though, which is The Sin Eater’s Daughter. The main character’s mother in this book, who is The Sin Eater, has to eat certain foods when a person passes based on who they were when they were alive. Weird stuff, good book. Here is it’s Goodreads page.

This is the cover that I have, and I love how smooth everything looks. You can really see all the intricate details inside the bottle/glass/vial? The green and blood-like red really suit the book, but I’m not sure about the rest.

This one is my favourite. It’s very similar to the UK version I have, but I adore the gold around the glass bottle, and the font looks so much better. The green is also more pronounced and I think it gives a better vibe!

This is the UK (and probably US) eBook/Audiobook cover.

Other Covers

2575311028168660I haven’t included a least favourite section, because the only others (these) are incredibly similar. The only differences really are the background and title font. I still like them!

The one on the left is the French cover and on the right is the Czech.

Feel free to comment your BTT link and let me know if you prefer the smoother look of the original paperback or the more vibrant eBook edition! 🙂
